Funeral Membership & Coverage

Tawfiq Islamic Center’s Funeral Membership Program helps individuals and families prepare for funeral and burial needs. Review the membership options, coverage, and important requirements below.

Annual Renewal

Members have up to 90 days after expiration to renew with applicable late fees. New Member Waiting Period All new members are subject to a 90-day (3-month) waiting period before funeral benefits become active.

We will help coordinate eligible burial arrangements and provide guidance to the family throughout the process.

Contact us as soon as possible after the passing of a loved one. Our team will guide your family through the next steps and begin coordinating the Janazah arrangements.

We will assist your family with the Janazah process and help coordinate the necessary arrangements in accordance with Islamic guidelines.

Membership Information

Members are responsible for keeping their membership and household information current. Please notify Tawfiq Islamic Center of any changes to your address, phone number, email address, family status, or household members.

Membership Status & Funeral Benefits
Membership must be active at the time of death for funeral benefits to apply. If a member or eligible dependent passes away after the membership has expired and before it has been renewed, funeral benefits may not be claimed.

Eligible Dependents
Funeral benefits apply only to eligible dependents who are properly registered under the membership. Changes to household members should be reported to Tawfiq Islamic Center promptly.

Coverage Area
Included:
• Funeral assistance and coordination
• Burial services at Burnsville Cemetery

Not Included:
• Transportation costs outside the Twin Cities metropolitan area
• Services outside the program coverage area

Refund Policy
• Refund requests must be submitted within 30 days of enrollment.
• No refunds will be issued after 30 days.
